Monday, June 13 - Page to Monument Valley

What should have been a relaxing late get-up and go, was not so much. George gets really "itchy feet" on the day of moving, and he is itching to go ASAP, cereal-coffee-gone....  me, not so rushed, so by 9:15, we were leaving the campsite.

Unsettled skies, not sure what is in store for us today.

We made a pit stop.....

Back on the road again.  We had read reviews that it was a very unimpressive drive from Page Arizona to Monument Valley, we beg to differ...

We passed by many of these water storage areas which were painted very elaborately..

There was such a variation in landscape along the way, not sure what others saw on this trip??? it is really interesting...

I know, I know, I have no control over what these rock formations look like...

As we are getting closer to Monument Valley, you can see the landscape change, a little flatter with random rocks all over the place.....

Relaxing drive, beautiful scenery.... then this....One road in...one road out...

 We may have had to wait an hour or so, but by the looks of it...someone didn't make it home today, rest in peace, whoever you may be...and our thoughts are with your loved ones today and forever...
